AUSTRALIA’S second-largest oil and gas producer, Woodside Petroleum has begun a drilling campaign to find fuel for its Pluto gas project.

According to Woodside Petroleum, the program will be the largest deep-water, continuous drilling campaign.

Woodside Petroleum says it will be drilling at least 20 wells by 2011 in the northwest of Australia.

Woodside Petroleum claims as part of its Pluto project, it wants to export its first liquefied natural gas in 2011 to meet the demand in Asia for cleaner burning fuels.
