BOTSWANA Metals has intersected significant copper and silver mineralisation while RC drilling at its Airstrip Copper anomaly project in Botswana.

According to Botswana Metals, the best drill results are from ACRC0003 at a depth of 52m which significant copper and silver results.

Botswana Metals chairman Pat Volpe says the results are highly encouraging.

"More drilling will give us a handle on what is happening at Airstrip copper," Volpe says.

“The discovery is within walking distance of the Maibele North Nickel discovery which we are now reassessing in light of the Airstrip results.”

As a result of the findings, the company says additional drilling will commence this month to better understand the geology of the discovery.
