Arrow Energy prepares for Surat Gas project

ARROW Energy says it has started preparing an environmental impact statement for its proposed Surat Gas project.

Arrow Energy says its Surat Gas project will involve the staged development of about 1500 production wells and associated infrastructure in an area covering its existing gas production fields.

According to Arrow Energy, the project will also include a broader area extending from Wandoan to Dalby and south to Millmerran and Goondiwindi.

The company claims it plans to provide ongoing and increased supply to the Queensland domestic gas market. It also hopes to supply the Gladstone LNG project at Fisherman’s Landing and the Shell Australia LNG project on Curtis Island.

Arrow Energy plans to start its Surat Gas project in 2012.
